AMD 64, 1024MB DDR, 80gig, CD-RW, DVD-Rom Tower 530 shipped!

Start here: http://www.aicomputers.com/customize.cfm?sysid=42&promo=290

Select "no" for keyboard, mouse, OS, video card, a few other things like extra cooling. Even if you need any of those, it will be cheaper to get them somewhere else with the possible exception of Windows.

Use coupon code: 101hfgs to get 50% off which drops the price to $530.

I wish i had the money to buy this.

Be careful with this company they do not have a good reputation. If you intend to purchase anything from here you can read about the complaints here

Guys this is an amazing deal , put it up on the main spoofee site now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Becareful of this company. Check the reviews first before buying.

I've seen posts claiming that AiComputers.com is the same as AIPCS.com

There is an Article in MaximumPC May 2004 pg 26 "Watch Dog". They do some research and there are very close relations between the two. Though it isn't sure what the real story is, there hasn't been concrete proof that the two companies are two seperate entities.

Read the article for yourself and check the rating. Use your best judgement.

If anyone did get their order through and receive a computer at the $500+ price please post.

Watch out!

Hey I stripped all down to just the std case, PS, CPU, DDRAM, CDRW, DVD, SATA HDD, and it still came to $645. I think MAX PC knows their crap so if these guys are on their BAD list, then run for dem hills.

Id piece price this out with parts from pricewatch and see if this is really a "deal".

SOMEONE needs to go to a web site that lists corporate officers and address and see if it matches the name Lambros Ballas or the address of this company. If either does match then the company AIPCS.com renamed itself here and stay away. Go to this to read about their fraud:

I disabled everything that could be disabled (including OS). The only things not disabled were the 2 optical drives (52x cd-rw, 16x dvd-rom); other than that i went with the cheapest of everything possible. The only upgrade was the RAM and that is free.

I don't know about the company, i just saw the deal and figured i would post it.

was thinking about getting one...but after wat i read...i'm wondering...so is it the same company??

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. But everyone will have to decide for themselves.

Thanks for the heads up quick research choochoojr..I suspected as much from the rip off stories I read here..CAVEAT EMPTOR...Ive seen companies re-start under various names and play the scammers game again and again..I think I saw these guys selling used cars near me..."Rip Offs for Less". Also, my SCAMMMER meter here is going off scale!

HAHA using peerguardian I can't even get to this site. I guess other people don't like this company.

This is what I came up with...

AI CASE
420w PS
AMD 64 3000+ 512KB L2 Cache 64-bit
Standard CPU Cooler
ASUS K8V Deluxe - VIA K8T800 Motherboard
*FREE - UPGRADE* 1024MB DDR SDRAM PC-3200
80GB Seagate Barracuda SATA 8MB Cache
52x24x52x CD-RW - IDE - Black
16X DVD Drive (Black)
Integrated AC97 Sound
Integrated Gigabit (10/100/1000 Mbits/sec) LAN
Standard Case Fans
8 Port USB 2.0 Configuration (4 Rear, 4 Front)
a.i official apparel T-Shirt (Large Size)

$1060.00 - 50% = $530.00

Quick Price Comparison to Newegg:

AMD 64 3000+ 512KB L2 Cache 64-bit
ASUS K8V Deluxe - VIA K8T800 Motherboard
Apacer 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200, Samsung Original Chipset - OEM
Seagate 80GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive, Model ST380013AS, OEM

$594.00 + Shipping (if any, allot has free shipping)

Looks like a great deal if you can get it.. most of the stuff you may be able to get the Manufacturer to Warranty the parts as OEM since you didn't buy it as a complete system (only assembled) if AI tries to mess you around... But I would check on it before I rushed in... You’re basically getting the Case/PS and Drives for free, which is good for about another $100 bucks. Good luck to the ones that go for it.

I build them on the side as a hobby and MicroCenter has them for about the same price. I got a new HP PC for $250 AR. And they have a great reputation and stores by you.

Why take the risk with these guys with the mile long rap sheet. Id go local and reputable for a few bucks more and avoid the legal aggravation when they flake.
Thanks for the parts list.

Thanks for the parts list.

I think you misunderstood. Are you talking about MicroCenter with the mile long rap sheet? I have never had 1 incident with them. They have been around since the beginning of computer time and very reputable.

No, I was referring to AI Computers or PC's or whatever their scammish name happens to be today-per the threads provided by Choochoojr.

Heres the factual skinny on these guys, after a WHOIS search under aicomputers:

AIPCS Systems Technologie registered AIComputers.
AIPCS are based in Farmingdale NY at 155-B Marine Street 11735
1-631-755-8000
The admin and technical contact is Constantine Mouzakitis.

goto register.com and do a WHOIS on aicomputers to get this info.
