AMD Athlon 64 3400 CPU + NF325-A7 Motherboard for $94.98 Shipped

Newegg.com has the BIOSTAR NF325-A7 Socket 754 NVIDIA nForce3 250 ATX AMD Motherboard and the AMD Athlon 64 3400 processor for a good deal.

Pricegrabber Price for CPU Alone : $117 ~ $154 Shipped

1. Click here and click "Shop" next to Newegg.
2. Click "Add to Cart"
3. In your shopping cart, on the bottom portion, you can see a "8 HOUR SALE AMD Athlon 64 3400 + Biostar MB combo". Click "Buy Now"
Final Price : $89.99 + ship ($4.99)

Good price, but not for an upgrade

My thoughts too. I almost bought this as soon as I saw the deal, but after noticing that it had AGP and 2gb of DDR ram @ PC3200 I changed my mind.

Not a bad deal, but not worth it if you plan on keeping the motherboard for awhile...

Has this special ended? There is no newegg link, and I cannot find it on newegg. :( please advise.

The link is not showing Newegg.com as a viable option for newegg, and I cannot find it on newegg. when did the 8 hour sale start? and is it over?
Please advise.

Newegg does not appear on the list of vendors. Did they take it down already ?

I just bought a kit from tigerdirect;
Athlon 64 3200+ Clawhammer Socket 939, Mach Speed MoBo with LT warranty, PCIe slot and AGP, 4 dimm slots for up to 4 GB 4200 memory, a case, a PSU and a CPU fan for $99.00 after rebate.
Just need to add my DVD Burner, memory and HDD. Since I now have the PCIe slot I treated myself a GeForce 6200, 256 MB DDR2 for another $50.00 so I can run XGL.

I feel a bit the ass becasue I can't find their package deal any more but here is what I got and if you check the rebates I hope you'll find they are good until the 31st (maybe not) I placed my order on the 18th. The CPU alone has a $50.00 rebate. I think the case works out to be free. You have 30 days to apply for the rebates which is nice.

I would go with a 500w+ PS with all the demands (present and future) of the latest technology. DVD drives plus the latest video cards require additional power.

Also the video card you purchased is (don't take this the wrong way just offering some input..) a waste of money.

For less than twice the cash you can get a 6600 GT or if you can swing it 7600 GT for less than $140.

These would offer a HUGH improvement over the 6200.

Like having a corvette with a 4 cylinder engine.

Otherwise that's some *****in' parts for the money.

The original deal was not something worth the time, money or effort.

Obsolete parts that they were trying to purge for the books.

Cheers...
