AMD is cheap!!! When you put that together that a good board will cost less for AMD than it would for Intel (one of the same quality), then you're getting a great deal here.
I'll probably use AMD in my next build.
(I know an Intel of the same group is more powerful and consumes less powerful, but hey it's cheap!)

You have to consider that consuming less power will save you money in the long run. How much money, however, is questionable.
