AMD Sempron 2400+ and a Motherboard for $59.99 + Ship

I see a bad habit that Outpost.com like to increase price once the on sale item got really hot. Just like the Kingston 512mb ram was going for 59.99AR, now it is 139.99AR. Act fast if you see a good deal on outpost.com

Brand name?

Maybe I just missed it, but I don't see a brand name for this. Anyone have an idea?

Also, it says that the Ethernet is "optional". WTF? Either its there or its not there.

Ideas Anyone?

So for 60 bucks is this a good deal? If i'm going to upgrade my current computer, which is a piece of junk, should I spend the 60 for the motherboard+cpu, 50 bucks for 256mb ddr ram, and 50 bucks for a western digital 80 gig. total would be 160 for a decent computer, what do you guys think?

well go for this processorand motherboard combo , Get the 250Gb drive for 100 at frys also if u need to game then i suggest a lil more ram. Def invest in the bigger drive it comes in handy. and for 50 bucks u shud easily get 512 ram u may even be able to get a gig , look around , check on ebay

Extremely good deal since the processor itself is $60 + Ship on pricewatch. It's like a free motherboard. If you are on a budget, this is a good buy.

Seagate 120GB ST3120026A-RK UATA100 8MB Buffer - Retail Hard Drive Kit

This Seagate drive is a decent deal for your build.
Also get yourself a decent Video card if you plan on playing new games, most buyers settle for a cheap video card ($75 range) and that can cripple even the fastest systems. Although you really don't need a top rated video card if you’re not going to use all of its features either. Look for a Video card at Newegg http://www.newegg.com they have a wide selection and you can view the feed back from customers. Just make sure it's compatible with your build.

How would i go about ensuring compatibility with any hardware?

The K7VTA3 has a 1.5V AGP slot that provides 4X the bandwidth of the original AGP specification. The AGP slot supports AGP 2.0 specification (4X). So you will need a Video card that is AGP 4X / 1.5V. Most video cards support more than one type of specification.

Thanks guys...Looks like i'm gonna build me a new computer. =)

Just a note, most video card will "down-grade" itself from 8x to 4x if they found the slot is 4x
