American Idol...

This is one of the few reality shows that my wife and I watch. We have been watching the first few and boy there are some ppl that can really sing (like the girl w/ the blue hair). There are the ones that hurt so bad that I have to mute the TV and the ones that are like, what are you thinking (the girl w/ the cow outfit and the girl that was a mime ). What do yall think?

For me, it's the ones that go on the show and think they can actually sing, but in reality are horrible, that really piss me off. If you are going to try out for a NATIONAL television show, spend $20, buy a tape recorder, and listen to yourself. Just because your inbred family thinks you sing well doesn't mean the rest of America does. I think the people who refuse to accept that they are horrible singers deserve to be ripped apart by the judges.
Also, it's American Idol... you won't win if you are ugly. And it's sad but true that a really fat guy (Ruben) is much different than a really fat girl, that's America. And no, Kelly Clarkson is not fat, so those 400 lb. girls can't compare themselves to her. Ruben was cute, like a teddy bear, and that's one of the reasons why he won. He could also sing really well. If someone isn't cute, and can't sing, why do they think they have a chance? :banghead:

actually before the judges ever see them, everybody has to go through a preliminary where they audiction for the producers and wat not. they let these people through otherwise they wouldn't get as high a rating as they do.
