It appears the Ron Paul has decided to abandon his presidential bid. In a letter to his rabid fans, Dr. Paul has essentially said it would be too embarassing to lose his congressional seat, and that's his priority.

He didn't say what he's going to do with the $30 million his fans have raised, and which has barely been touched for the presidential run. (My own guess is that he'll use them to buy friends and to fund his congressional compaign.)

It never really states that he is dropping out of the race. He keeps reiterating about how he is going to "keep fighting"...

There's a guy named Ron Paul in this race???

Ron WHO? Save it in an interest bearing CD and wait 4 years.... RON......

Correct. But he 1) admits he cannot win as a Republican; 2) rules out running from a third party, as he did in 1988; and 3) states that his priority is to re-win his congressional seat. So, while he is not suspending his campaign, he is scaling it back to little more than a peripheral level.
