August Alert: I received the August, 2010 issue today, and the salient points are these: Giveaways will be each weekday in August, beginning August 2nd. There will be items for "the first XX" every hour beginning at 1 PM EDT daily. There will be SEVEN daily times the first week (1 PM - 7 PM) and then SIX daily thereafter (1 PM to 6 PM). Additionally, there will be one random drawing each day for various articles of clothing, shoes, handbags, etc. beginning at 12 PM EDT open for one hour.

You can enter at www.allure.com/freestuff as always, or you can download a master tag at Download Service which can be used with a smartphone to enter.

The magazine has the usual layout with thumbnail photos, exact name of item, retail value and how many items they are giving away. A lot of the giveaways are for less than 500, more I think than last year.

No problem--and I'm sure one of the smart ones here will figure out how to post the entire list somehow. I have no idea how to take a magazine page and post it. I suspect it would need to be scanned and then attached somehow. Anyway, I just figured I should start a separate thread for August. Hope you are feeling better. I've been thinking about you.

I've got a Metro PCS qwerty phone but my phone isn't on the list..said i might not get the best on it so I'm going to have to do it traditionally. I would hope that people w/ smart phones won't get an advantage just an app so they don't have to sign in. I log in prior to the giveaways so it will show up and figuring that this is basically eliminating that process of logging in. Maybe that is where its at? I'm not sure. thanks Pat and hilly for the posts, i checked the magazine, and it said you can enter w/smartphone or log in (the normal way we always enter) at the specific time. w/the smart phone you have to download an app. and snap pics of the items for each hour, if you dont have one you can still log in and enter like usual.
