T&C for $30 rebate say: (1) rebate form (2) Copy or receipt, (3) original UPC. That works.

How do you get an online order receipt if you go to a local store for pickup? There doesn't appear to be anywhere on the web page to place the order to reserve it for local pickup -- it just says SOLD OUT.

I checked for online availability and it said my local store was out of stock. Nearest store with stock was 45 miles away. Checked my local store (across the street) anyway and they had one on the shelf. I grabbed it. So, check your store even if it says out of stock.

Per Holland's question:
The $60 rebate is eligible for Best Buy online submission. Needs nothing for submission. All done online.
The $30 needs copy of store receipt, rebate form and original UPC code.
All rebates print out at register.
 
Darn, I did forget. The 10% coupon I had was a one day deal and it expired. I didn't know about this one. Now I have to go back and fight with them to get this one to work. For $16 it's worth it.

Comp USA had a 300 gig hd on sale for 79 after rebate with a 16 mb buffer, and i believe ATA 133. Dunno how much better it is, but I got the comp usa one.

The performance increase from ATA/100 (the WD) and ATA/133 (the Maxtor) is negligible in most cases. With the coupon posted above, the WD is only $54 (a $26 savings). I'm picking up several WD's today at my local best buy...
 
Cool! I just got a rain check! The guy at my store said that if you get a rain check it ensures price AND the rebates are still good. You can't use the 10% off... but still, you get a good price on the drive!
