There is a catch of this

You have to pay for 3 "free?" books when you answer the questionnaire, specifically question #9.

"9. Get 3 FREE Books! Yes, I'd like to join The Literary Guild! I've read and understand the terms of the membership details below. Please send me the 3 FREE books I select below. I agree to buy 4 more books at the regular Club price within the next 2 years. A $8.97 shipping and handling charge will be billed for this introductory offer."

"You will be billed when your membership has been approved. Your shipping and handling charges will be a total of only $8.97 ($4.99 for the first book, and $1.99 each additional book). Sales taxes are applicable in New York, Pennsylvania and Indiana."

If you use the drop down menus for all 3 choices and scroll down, the very last choice is "No thanks". I have never signed up for any of their offers and I get magazines from them.
