I think you get a coupon to reduce the rental from $3.50 to $1.99

Redbox is cheaper. Free on Mondays and other than that, just 99 cents per day.
 
Not sure where you all are but Blockbuster rentals here are $4.55 w/ tax for new releases.
 
Hollywood Video is closing its doors. Some sooner than others, so keep checking with yours. They will be selling their videos and video games pretty cheap.
 
A video store is one business I would not want to own right now.
 
my blockbuster charges 4.50 plus taxes... phew. that is a lot

i now use REDBOx.. only thing is. that...

titles are limited.
I have to watch and return soon as each day is 99 cents
I have to stand in queue sometimes when
some #$^^Q$@#&& holes talk on their cellphones and take forever to choose a title
