Buy American, buy Ford

While I love GM vehicles, I hate that they are now nicknamed "Government Motors". It well know that when the government starts to muck around with private corps it's a disaster waiting to happen.

Ford makes ok vehicles, but I wish there cars got better gas mileage.

No argument there....

Wonder if the car payments will be 'gifted' or if they have to pay it back later.....I can already see a few businesses laying off a family member to qualify for the program.....

But either way, it's an incentive for those who have been delaying a purchase due to job instability....

Other companies are doing similar things, like Hyundai.

No bailout and now this. I personally like the style of Chryslers and Pontiacs but Ford has the better management history.

I like the fact that all three of my Ford vehicles (a 1997 F250 CNG truck, 1998 Crown Vic, and 1998 Crown Vic CNG Police Interceptor) share the same size oil filter. That means fewer parts I have to purchase and keep on stock.

Once upon a time my son told me he was going to get a Crown Vic because so many NY taxi cabs were Crown Vics. They have to be the most dependable car you could get. When he finally bought a car he ended up getting a Mini Cooper. Go figure.

I have been extremely happy with the vehicles. The only problem I've had between the Crown Vics is that a battery failed last Friday.

Someone's been using Google again.
