better deal

here is a better deal for a 2.2gb flash drive with no rebate for 49.99 link

It would be a better deal if the product was available. It says product unavailable.

shows available for me maybe its not in your area?

the 2.2gb drive that was linked to by insanex1 is a hard drive - its not flash memory. for anyone who is not sure of the difference, try listening to an ipod shuffle when you start it up (no moving parts, so you can't hear anything) and an ipod 40gb or 60gb (you can hear the hard drive boot up when you turn the ipod on).

the advantage of flash memory is that you can move it around more without worrying about damaging the components. a hard drive risks damage when you carry it with you everywhere since there are moving parts inside of it. but even after these differences, the main difference you'd probably notice between a flash drive and a hard drive is the size. take all of this into account before you say that one is better than the other.

I never said it was better I just said it was a better deal.

You also said it's a "flash drive" and Vin Diesel's point was that it is not a flash, but rather a hard drive. HUGE difference.

yea, i wasn't tryin to bash your link, i'm just saying that you're getting a physically larger hard drive for a better price instead of the same exact item for a better deal.

Coupon code only for those who recieved the email

Back to the point of the original post...

I tried to purchase this item and once everything showed up right, it took off the discount and as soon as I clicked on the "Proceed to Checkout" button, I got this message :secret:
* You are not eligible for this coupon, or you have already used it. The coupon will be removed from your basket.
And I assure you all that I have not tried to use the coupon before.

I did notice as soon as I added it to my basket via the link above, one of the first things that it stated was
...Only valid to customers who have received the e-mail...
so I knew I was taking a chance. Of course once this happened I cancelled the order, guess they should have taken off the $11.20 and kept my business :)

Sorry it didn't work for you t001z. :(
