CompUSA has a great pricematching policy.

"beat any local retail competitor's advertised price on every product we sell by $1.00, either at the time of purchase or within the following 14 days."

CompUSA usually has some snacks/drinks near their cash register. Grab an ad from Walgreens, CVS, RiteAid, or others if they have any of these snacks/drinks advertised, you can get the candy/drink for free after pricematch.

Wait a minute...

so basically, if CompUSA is selling an item that is being sold at a competitor store for $1, as long as the competitor's price is lower, CompUSA will price-matched the item to $0 ?

Wow. I think this is where the line should be drawn in finding good deals. Who is actually going to do this? I'm not going to look like a fool for a free candy bar!
 
This has actually been out for a while....Eventhough this is perfectly good logistically, if I was the manager at CUSSR, I would say take your candy and never come back. :evil:
 
For pricematching most CUSA stores require manager authorization prior to the price change. Most managers wouldn't even let you do it once, prolly just laugh and walk away.
 
has anyone tried this yet? seems like it would be something you *could* do if you were willing to spend the time for a lousy candy bar or drink.

personally my time is worth more than $1 for 10-15 minutes of effort!
 
Well, i agree i probably won't go out of my way to do this. But if you are at the store and you are purchasing something, you could simply grab some candy/drinks for free. Also, this won't make you look like a cheap ba$tard for just going in there and getting a free candy bar.

So...Could I go into CompUSA and grab the whole rack of candy and as many drinks as I want and get everything for free? Is there a limit to this?
 
This was on another "fat" website months ago. There is a reeeeeaaaallllllyyy loooooooonnnng thread on it;)

Think agout it - do you really think a C-USA manager is going to go for that (much less even one candybar)?? Price match it always at the managers discression. I doubt anyone would get away with even one candy bar or drink, much less an entire rack.
 
This could work,

Next time you are at CompUSA getting one of there HD specials or something FAR take an ad with you can get your candybar and soda for free in the process ;)

At my local CompUSA they won't even let me pricematch a single candy bar.
