Canon F50 Multifunction $100 @ Staples -- DEAD!!

Update, 01/27: Looks like these are sold out for good. atleast that's what Staples says at the web site now. Too bad. :(

If you haven't been there, Staples has an online "savings event" going on this week (accessible from their home page). Some decent deals, including the Canon F50 (472655) multifunction printer/fax/copier/scanner for $99.98 after price reduction and $100 instant coupon savings. Stock status of this keeps changing, so if no luck at first, keep trying. All the deal details on the item page at Staples. I doubt you can use other coupons on this item though. :(
 
Now they're cancelling . . .

Just got an email from them on this:

"In regards to order #9138032207, item CNM-6809a001 or 472655 was not available for shipping. At this time an exact substitute is not available. This item is not on backorder, and the offer is while supplies last. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. If you have any questions please contact customer service at 800-333-3330 option 2 and they will be able to assist you."

I am not alone either by the looks of things at FW. Really the first time they've done something like this to me. Wonder how they could make such a large scale screw-up?
