Canon Powershot SD550 7.1MP Digital Camera for $322.20 Shipped

Dell Home has the Canon Powershot SD550 7.1MP 3x Zoom Digital Camera for a good price. This item received a 4.5/5 from 15 Amazon customers.

Pricegrabber Price : $367.00 ~ $600.40 Shipped

1. Go to ebay to search and buy a Dell $45 off $400 coupon ( search dell 45 400 )
2. Click here to go to Dell Home.
3. Search A0521529 ( Price : $449 )
4. Auto Discount : -20%
5. Apply $45 off $400 coupon.
Total : $314.20 + Ship($8.00)

errors in math

Um, sorry, someone needs to attend math class on a more regular basis. If the "Price : $449" and you "apply $45 off $400 coupon",
that is 449-45=$404 + "Ship($8.00)" = $412

Otherwise I'd buy one.

There is an instant rebate included on the camera, dropping the base price to $359.

In the future, please be more respectful of your fellow users and report the error, if there is one, kindly.

My apologies on that one, I forgot to put the instant 20% off.

sorry

I was just sitting here scratching my head trying to figure out how you got there. :)

here is my math originally 449. 20% off = 89.98
449-89.80 = 359.20
359.20 - 45 off coupon = 314.2
314.2 + 3.99 it takes to get the coupon (1 dollar cost but 2.99 shipping) = 318.19
318.19 + 8 shipping = 326.19
326.19 + 29.28 tax = 355.47

355.47 tax and shipping out the door (tax is for cali resident)

it kinda sux getting stuff online when we cali people always get jacked for tax. just had to get that off my chest. Lol

tell me about it! :( Well, Dell chanrges tax to a lot of states, but I feel I get always screwed at other great places like Newegg, Zipzoomfly, etc. Now if only Amazon will start charging us as well, I'lll be moving!

No more 20% off

:thumbs_do it shows 15% off :thumbs_do

don't feel bad and don't move...everyone pays taxes with Dell. you just pay your state's rate (that's all that differs!)

so, did you buy one?

What am I doing wrong here?

I am seeing $449.00 save *** 15% *** - $67.35 = $381.65

I have not gotten a coupon off ebay, yet.

How do I get to the 20% discount?

i think they limit their discounts to a particular number of buyers and/or a particular time, after which they either remove the discount entirely or make it for a smaller amount. My guess is that may have had a limit for the number of people who would be able to save 20%, then changed the discount to 15%.

:)

These are awsome cameras. I just bought one from Butterfly Camera. The price was $376 shipped no tax.

You don't have to deal with getting the Dell coupon this way. There are a few cheaper merchants as well. I have had good luck with Butterfly and that i why I went with them.

I have bought many computers from Dell...never a camera. Are they still as good with cameras?

they are perfect! I bought this camera with the last time they offered this geal (buying the coupon off ebay and the 20% off, etc) after taxes and shipping, I paid $333.05~~~ I had to call in the order because the coupon would not work online. they completed the order with all the discounts without any problems. You can call Dell and tell them that you saw the 20% off deal but now it's only offering you the 15% online and they will honor the 20% off and you will just have to complete your order over the phone. they will take the $45 coupon code over the phone as well!
Good luck all! :camera:

I know, I know.

I know you apologized already "rip-crd" but I just want to say to whoever reads this, lets please not make this forum (i like "community" ^_^ ) into a rude one that we see all over the 'net. That's the reason that my fiancee and I are loyal to this site. Because of cool peeps like Erik, penpen, the list goes on makes this forum fun. ~_~

Lets keep it that way? Please? :)

On a different note we just purchased a Sony DSC-T7 at Best Buy (Yes, their cameras are expensive there, but in our defense we had multiple gift cards that were going to expire soon and 12/mos No Interest) and was wondering if I should return this camera and get the Canon 7.1 as opposed to the 5.1?

I'm not planning on doing prof. pics or anything, just as a hobby. So would I see a big difference between the 2MP's??
