Often our culture rewards children's physical prowess, while ignoring their academic achievements. But there are a number of high school students who've taken on a rigorous course of Advanced Placement college level work. (At least one of them is a spoofee member. Some may be children of spoofee members.) These students have voluntarily taken on course loads far beyond typical high school requirements, in order to stretch their brains and test their intellectual limits.
The next two weeks are the AP test weeks, where their progress is evaluated. Starting May 5 with Government, moving through Comp Sci, Stat, Calculus, History, Physics, Economics, the series ends with Latin on May 16 -- 37 tests in all. (the member I know about will be busy with the EHAP test on the afternoon of the 9th).
Let's take a moment to let some of those members (the actual students as well as parents of AP students) come forward and brag a little. And the rest of us can wish them well in these grueling high stakes exams.
Hooray for academic excellence. :claps:
