Just for school to print off notes and papers and such.
 
I'll sell you the Dell 720 I got free with my computer. It doesn't work with computers other than Dell though.
 
Did you happens to buy a laptop lately, then you can get a canon pixma free.
I used epson stylus c62 for 3 years until I upgraded to pixma. You cld get generic ink refils for c62 for $6.

Sure, they work with other computers. Where did you find that?
 
I have a Compaq Presario Sr1010z (got it from here), and it does not recongize USB printers.
 
Why wouldn't it recognize USB printers?

Two things. I've seen spyware actually disable USB ports or sound cards because it was written so buggy. You might have something that is causing the computer not to recognize the USB printers.

Another thought, be sure you run the CD that came with the USB printer *FIRST* before plugging the printer in. Can't tell you how many support calls I get on that one.
