Cheaper Sprint Cell Phone

After years of holding out, I have caved in and am going to get a cell phone from Sprint. I would like some of the higher end phones with the speaker phone and camera ability. The phones that I have been looking for are about $250-300 before the rebates from Sprint. The problem is, in order to get the savings, you have to have their extra picture service, which adds an extra $15 a month.

Any suggestions on a way that I can get around this mess? I looked at Ebay, and the phones seem to be going for around $150, but those generally seem to be used in various conditions. Any hints or suggestions from other Sprint customers would be great!!

honestly sprint always cost more and charge a lot for everything. ive been with sprint since the late 90s and im probably getting screwed but i stick with them because their phones look nicer and isnt as common. they should have about 200 off just for joining. but its a 2 year contract. they got that replacement plan and you get a new phone for 50 bucks if you wanted to do all that and wait and you can find a cheap halfdead phone. why are you going with sprint?

Why Sprint? I use Cingular (formerly AT&T Wireless), and I'm very happy.

I wish that I could go with Cingular, but up here in Wisconsin, it is not offered yet. Sprint seems to be my best choice of whats offered up here, as the family plan that I looked at did not seem so bad. Now, if I could just find a way to get a decent phone without having to sign up for the extra services that I don't need............

I also have Sprint. You shouldn't have to sign up for the extra stuff as long as you are on a one or two year contract. That's pretty stupid.
If you do go with Sprint, make sure you know another Sprint user and redeem the referral $20 credit for each of you (this should be on the Spint website). Also, whenever a call is dropped, dial *2 and ask for "credit for a dropped call" and they will credit you $.50. Finally, you should be able to get Vision for a free 2 month trial. Once again, check the website.
