Go to MSN and check your local gas prices. I've used this for several weeks now and find it very accurate. Scroll down to the bottom right side of the screen and click on "gas prices". On the next page enter your zip code and find local pricing. I saved mine in favorites and check it before filling up. Example: Toay the least expensive price was $1.95 and the highest was $2.21. Multiply the differance times my thirsty 30 gallon fill up and I saved $7.80. Well worth to extra 1.8 mile drive to the least expensive station.

I find another website to be more accurate and up to date, www.charlottegasprices.com (substitute your nearest metro area or state). MSN is only updated every 24 hours; gasprices is updated continually by users with the time posted. Prices are automatically purged after 60 hours, however, since it is constantly updated, it always shows the lowest prices.

1.8 miles is not far to travel, but it really is not worth driving more than 5 miles each to save money on gas due to how much per mile it costs to operate the average vehicle, not to mention the time spent. I live very close to the NC/SC state line and SC gas prices are cheaper, but it is not worth the 12 miles each way to go there.

Sheeze, I go to utahgasprices.com and find out that the most EXPENSIVE stations are in my hometown at $2.49 a gallon. The next nearest gas station is 8 miles, 21 miles, then 60 miles respectively.

Hey Spaz, how expensive is it now? I bet you'd be happy to pay 2.49:p

Are you kidding me?! $2.49. That is almost 4 times what I pay now. $0.639 center per gallon of compressed natural gas (CNG). Oh yeah. I switched to a CNG Ford F250 truck and can't complain anymore!

But, the highest gas prices are still in my county. Go figure.

I live in Florida spaz and would LOVE to pay $2.49 a gallon for gas, unfortunately gas in my area is $3.12 a gallon.:faint:
