Not an unknown brand by any stretch of the imagination. If you trust the geeks at Newegg, it was last month's Customer Choice wireless router and is rated 5/5 by 233 reviews - at $52.99. A good price for one of these is usually $30-$40. This is the lowest I've seen, albeit with rebates.

One of the best Linux-capable routers out there unless you want to pay $60+ for one of those wonky retro WRT54GLs.

What to do with your New whr-g54s

If you're technically savvy enough, install http://www.dd-wrt.com on it. This replacement firmware allows you to do a lot more with the WHR-G54S than it came out of the box doing...

Bought one yesterday to replace a WRT54gv6 that I sold off to somebody to use in their WDS network. It works great...

And for $26 bucks or so, it's a STEAL!
