SONY has announced the price drop during E3 which is around 7/12 or 7/13
$100 dollar drop in US,
and
$150 Canadian dollar drop in Canada.
 
The reason of why Wii and Xbox over sold than PS3 because of their meida/game is more and they are hacked.
PS3 still has its dirty Blue Ray problem. but it is the most valueable system over all .
 
PS3 is definitely the most sophisticated system out of the three, though Xbox360 now has HDMI which is great. It's about time!
 
people boast about hardware specifications but hardware =/= great games. You dont get a console to admire its hardware but to play the games.

Generally the system with the weakest hardware has had the most success. PS2, DS, Gameboy
 
I agree... I don't care so much about the graphics, it's the game I'm playing. I have a Wii and Zelda Twilight Princess looks great plus it's a fantastic game. I'm playing Resident Evil 4 for Wii and it also has great graphics and a fantastic story line.
 
I have about 12 different Wii games and I always go back to Wii Sports. Can't get enough of tennis, boxing and the home run derby.

i have all three systems (ps3, wii, and 2x xbox 360)

and i think play station 3 is by far the best of them.
 
I have got to get me one of these. The XBOX360 has to be the biggest lemon of all the systems out there, and I don't really like MS anyway...not to say I don't support them far too much finacially anyway, and even still the 360 has a great gaming experience despite the reliability issue.

The PS3 is a hardware phenom, and has excellent titles, too. I've been itching for one, but we wound up getting the Wii since I am frugal and am not the primary gamer in the house. But the Wii's titles have been a great disappointment, and they are by no means a deal like the system was. The Wii is not being properly utilized, as its controllers are fantastically designed*, but they're not being programmed very well. One example is in Resident Evil. Despite the many axi on the WiiMote, there's no way to strafe. A shooter with no strafe is a crock. Every game so far on the Wii has been an equal disappointment. While the simple games can be quite fun, they lack long term play value. And the complicated games that should be engulfing us for weeks or months have had no real effort in controller configuration. Part of the problem may be the Wii's controller's. A complex controller pair should have been an option for the Wii if they're going to get into the next generation of gaming experiences, and not just dable in overly simplistic gimmic value games.

Damn, where'd that Wii rant come from...oh yeah, I've spend more than $500 on our Wii & stuff...I want a PS3 for $499!

You can get a modded Wii for about $390.00 these days. Still no modded PS3. Nuts.

I didn't buy them, just still using the old xbox & ps2. Plenty of games for them.

The amount of games that are designed to play on only one console are pretty slim.

Where did you get your PS3 from? Some places have a price drop guarantee where if you see the price drop within so many days, you can get the difference back from the store if you bring your receipt back to them. I just got my PS3 the day these rumors started circulating and was NOT happy. :mad: Then my gf urged me to check Best Buy's policy and it covers me.

"Already bought? We'll refund you the price difference, plus an additional 10% of that difference up to 30 days after your purchase (14 days on select categories*, 60 days on HDTVs purchased from 6/3/07 through 9/29/07)."
