check website
I just bought one this afternoon. Go to this Circuit City
website and enter your zip code. 10001(New York City)
is used as an example. At least 6 out of 10 stores in that
area currently show 60GB Playstation consoles in-stock.
(as of 9:50PM EST)
In New York City, zip code 10001 area:

In Beverly Hills, CA, zip code 90210 area:

I checked the website before I went. The store clerks in
the video game dept didn't even know about it. However,
the warehouse guys knew and immediately sent me to
customer service counter. There were 17 of them behind
the counter. All of them were 60GB PS3 units. It was
limited to one unit per person.
Good luck!
