My aunt started a website recently to sell her invention, the Marvel Mitt, which is a pet groomer/cat hair remover mitten. I've used them and they work great and I'd like to recommend them. However, I don't want to violate the 'no self-advertising' rule. Would posting a recommendation for my aunt's site be allowed? I do not believe that there are any coupons or anything, so it may not be a 'HOT DEAL' type post, but it's a decent product that would make good xmas gifts for pet lovers. How about it mods?

I don't think it would be allowed, sorry. We've had problems in the past with members and self advertising, so we just can't allow it anymore.

Sorry, I'm sure your aunt's gizmo works great! :)

Thanks for asking.

I'm guessing slavin was a part of it.. I missed what happend tho.. just guessing..

Currious then. why is the webpage box still in the user profile.. That could be used for self advertising, albeit an odd way to do it.

Yeah, I don't know if there's an option to turn it off.

We can just remove it in the postbit, but I think it's okay to keep that there "for now." Hasn't been a problem yet. Ksocia, if the pet groomer ever offers coupons, you can post a deal. We also do offer banner spaces for $30/30 days.

Thanks for the info, guys. I passed the information onto her.
