(Dead) 200GB Mobile Disk 3.5" EXT USB 2.0 HDD Solution for 34 Cents!

eCost.com is offering a 200 gb external harddrive for only 34 cents! They'll probably cancel your order but there's a chance they might honor it!

Well, i am one person who's going to find out. I ordered 3 checked out fine, but when i went back to search for it cannot find it. We'll see

Update: ordered 5 more and after looking things over, the little "call for availability" icon indicates they are not in stock so we'll see what happens

Ordered a few, went through Google Checkout, and asked for priority overnight.

i ordered 2. come on biiiiiiiiiig money! big money baby!

Guess what all my friends are getting for their birthdays if this deal goes through! haha. *fingers crossed.

I ordered 5 with priority overnight although when i got to the last page it didn't show the total with the priority overnight shipping included. Man this would be sweet if they ship it. :)

is everyone choose priority overnight, or ground shipping?

I first placed an order as ground, then I went back and did another order overnight (4 drives overnight total was $24).

sad news, found this on digg.com

"This is a discontinued item that they no longer have in stock. You will not be able to order these!

I verified this through a phone call to ECost."

4 drives baby!!

I too ordered 4 drives. I didn't want to get more or it might arouse suspicion. No problems in checkout. About $24. We'll see. Man, I hope this goes through. It would be super-tight.

Dumb question, but they can't change the price on you after you order for $0.34 correct? Most they will do is cancel the order I take it?

After reading a bunch of reviews for ecost.com (on bizrate and resellerratings) I'm not even going to try this deal. It seems their customer support is non-existant and they will only give you credit back on their site and won't ever refund your money for anything, such as mistakes like this.

If you use credit card and they don't refund the money, you can simply dispute the transaction.

I got a confirmation email that says: "Pricing and availability are subject to change up to time of shipment. We reserve the right to cancel any order before it is shipped." When I checked my order on the web site it says "backordered".

link

link says "cannot find item." probably they've corrected the error.
