i entered the first copuon code...it showed at the end but no discount was applied/.....

It worked for me. I used the second and third codes and it shipped free also.

You need to play around a bit. The discounts do not necessarily show when you apply the coupons. They will show up at the end of the order, as jccss said. I got the software free and free shipping using codes 2 and 4.

Worked for me too using several different codes but I didn't get a confirmation yet. I do have my order number!

I just applied all the codes and at the end it said it was charging my card $0.00....that's a number I can live with! Great find!

i got the one listed for free. if anyone can figure out how to get any of the home design stuff for free...that would be awesome. I tried...but failed...but then I'm a amateur.

yes, you need to provide a credit card number. I used my paypal debit card.
 
I applied all of the coupons and knocked the price of the home design package to 29.99 shipped. But that's as low as I could get it,

More Free Stuff from Broderbund

I saw this offer on another site today. It said you could use the coupons towards other purchases. Here is what I found:

1.) If you type in "the" in the software search field, it brings up ALL types of software, even software not listed.
2.) There are 4-6 other pieces of software that are either downloadable or sent via cd which are also free and clearly state they are $0.00! I believe it is under the kid's section which is fine because they had a beginners guide to electronics and a guide to the night sky.
3.) The coupons seem to work repeatedly. I must have played around with the purchase features and came up with about 3 other orders. The coupons worked on them all. I put ALL of the coupons in every time. Then you add/subtract software until you get the price reduced as far as you can. Then you purchase. Some combos increase the cost of items while others reduce it. Don't ask me why. The upshot is... I got software titles for $2.99. This worked only for software under $15.
4.) More discounts happen when you get to step 4. Usually, it is free shipping and no tax. I found the total cost for the order was usually $1-$5 less than at step 1. I hope this helps.
