i dunno.. personally i'd just wait a few weeks for NFS:U2 .. but if you like the GTA series i guess this is awesome.
 
just a hunch, jl514, but i think the GTA series has a couple of fans....

and for us, this is awesome
 
A rebate? Hmm. Im waiting for another rebate from the same comp, its taking about 3 months but said they shipped it. Also, who wants to cut up their GTA for the UPC?
 
good news regarding fye rebates:
i've submitted about 11 of these suckers, and i've gotten every one, and i have never had to cut up my upc. what ive done is this:
take the upc off of the plastic wrap it comes in (all of the stuff from FYE has plastic wrap with a UPC symbol on it) and send that in
make a photocopy of the back of the box, or wherever the upc on the box is located. send that in too
send all that stuff with the rebate form and the receipt and you should be set. its worked for me for 11 movies so far.

Of course, one could always call the rebate center.
 
anyone have the rebate form?? fye pulled it from the site, i was wondering if it was still valid.

nevermind, i found a copy of it layin around online.

Rebate Is Not Valid

The rebate is not valid for the purchase of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas by itself. You must puchase Grand Theft Auto Combo Pack also. Reread the rebate form. That is why the rebate for was pulled from the site. Call the number on the rebate form and verify. ;)

This place is a pain in the ass to get something returned with. There is no phone number to call for CS. You can only return VIA email request. This store sucks more than Amazon.

See, they should have put the rebate on the page with GTA, not with GTA2.
 
It seems to me the rebate will work for either purchase. Is this right or not? Has anyone called and gotten an answer?

Doesn't that mean with just the purchase of san andreas?

I still think it means either/or. The combo packs goes for about the same price as the new game.
 
oh well, im gonna try it with just san andreas. i see why you guys are worried, but i still think that this rebate is just for the single purchase of san andreas.
 
I tried it too. I think it will work, but I guess we will just have to wait and see!
 
On another forum someone called the rebate center who said it would work. But Im not going to try it.
