**DEAD ** -- Staples In-store - 100 Memorex 8x DVD+R or DVD-R for $30 *YMMV

Staples has the 50 Memorex 8x 4.7gb DVD+R or -R Spindle for $19.94 each. Purchase 2 and add a $10 off $40 coupon to get both for $30. Coupon is good for today only.

Note : The printable coupon may or may not work at your store. Please be sure to check that your purchase total is $40 or more.

Printable $10 off $40

Suggestion to meet the $40 purchase total:
Paper clips (item# 525915): $0.49

Just tried in store, coupon code doesnt work, its suposed to be 16 digits but its only 15

I added another number to the code above, now it is 16 digits. YMMV on this though.

I tried the new coupon (the one with 16 digits) at the cypress branch...it didn't work. However, the manager did a manual override to give me the $10 discount! =)

The price is valid online, but the coupon code 'does not match any existing offers'. Its a good price anyway, and if you buy three of them, its under $60 and free shipping. Considering that shipping is $8 anyway, why not spend another $12 for an additional spindle, ya know?

Only thing I dont like about Staples online, is not that they charge sales tax... but that they charge sales tax on the shipping charge. Thats just wrong.

Did everyone make sure to buy $40 worth of stuff? Not $19.94 times 2 which is only $39.88?

I called 1-800-STAPLES early this morning to ask about this coupon. The Staples CSR I spoke w/ indicated that it's a valid coupon & that there should be no problems w/ using this coupon to receive the the $10 discount w/ a $40 purchase.

Great advice about checking the purchase total, zero_5 !

Of note, trom what I understood from what the Staples CSR said, this shouldn't be one of those "one-time use" coupons (each person should be able to use it once). :) hth, penpen

yes I did buy over $40 worth of stuff, bout $60. Gave the coupon to the cashier, she had problems, called the manager over, manager informed me that the coupon was no good, that it was fake.

That's curious b/c when I spoke w/ the CSR @ 1-800STAPLES, I read to her those #'s on the coupon exactly as they are on the coupon, and she entered it into her computer, then said back to me "$10 off a $40 purchase". Well, this coupon may be a YMMV one.

just got back from staples. i got there around 5:50 or so and found the dvdrs. grabbed 2 packs and walked around a bit to find some stuff i needed then went to the check out. total came to about $45 and gave the coupon to the lady and she scanned it like 3 or 4 times and tried to do an override once or twice but no luck. i don't know if it's cause when i was checking out it was already 6 and they were closing and their coupons are set to expire at 6 on the day they expire or if it is a fake. so did any body get this coupon to work? where did it come from?

At the local Staples here in CT, I tried to use the coupon for a $59 purchase (Logitech MX1000 Laser Mouse), and after several minutes of the cashier trying to input the coupon code, she called the manager over where he loudly exclaimed that the coupon was "fraudulent" and that I wasn't the first person to try to use it. It was embarrassing to say the least.

He said, "Staples coupons are 6 or 16 digits, not 15."

I figure if the coupon was legit, it would be printable from the Staples site, which it is not.
