Would appreciate an update on the coupon since I am interested in purchasing one. Thanks!!!

Think that this deal is dead

I believe that Dell Sold too many of these in their 10 Days of Deals promo. This was one of today's specials. Tried through the dell site and the coupon/discount would not work any longer.

Did the coupon not get applied or are you asking about whether you can use the $35 off coupon in combination with the $600+ one?

Did you go through the "Days of Deals" site or the regular Dell Home site?

On other days, Dell updated their site to say "sold out" when they passed the allotted quantity.

I tried using the coupon with any E1705 laptop and it gives you a discount of $250. Its still a lot, but not $664.

I was able to get one this morning. the only thing i don't like about this computer is the Intel graphic accellorator 950!!! It won't let me update to a x1400! I guess no gaming on this notebook. sign...

the coupon works just fine, I just used it no more than 5 minutes ago. It only works on that one SPECIAL OF THE DAY e1705 laptop, you can't go through the normal dell home laptop customization thing to configure the laptop. This coupon only works for tha single configuration. Funny thing is, if the coupon worked on all 1705s, it would most likley be another $100 cheaper since dell gouges their prices on these SPECIALS.

I think so too, sometimes the configuration on the notebook is almost the same but a little change like a 2 yr or 4 yr warranty costs more than if you buy the cheapest one and add on the warranty. I am surprised. Does anybody know how heavy this notebook is?

I think it's like 7 pounds? I'll know in a week or so.

I found out it's starting at 7.65 pounds. This is not that bad for a 17" monitor laptop. I wish the graphic card is a bit better!

you guys might also check into this deal:

the xps are dell's high-end laptops. this one has a Pentium 4-M 2.0 non-dual core, but the graphics card on this one kicks ass. it also has a better 80w battery.

edit: oops, looks like there is already another post about this one today. :o
