Dell Memory Upgrade.

A simple question:

Should I take the Free Dell Memory upgrade (256mb --> 512mb)
or
Should I opt for the $100 mail-in-rebate instead?


I would like to upgrade my memory, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to buy a compatible stick of memory to upgrade myself.

If your new machine takes Rambus RAM (RDRAM), then take the RAM upgrade. Otherwise (if it takes DDR SDRAM), take the $100. You can buy your upgrade for less than half that amount, including shipping. Just browse around the forums or search for "RAM".
