P4 and min 512 RAM and atleast 30Gb HDD. don't need the OS or any other softwares since i already bought it.
without mouse/keyboard. don't need them however new ones in a deal are always better.

basically looking for a faster and latest computer.

something around $200-$300. or less

I was just wondering since i already have this old one, if i take everything out of it and put it in a new one, wouldn't that cost me very little, since i need to pay only for a cpu/board only, and maybe the case. however i was wondering if i can find a cheap one and still keep this old one also intact.

If you bump up your price range to $500 or so, then you have options.

If you don't mind a Celeron 2.0ghz, CompUSA has one on sale tomorrow for $199 after rebates. You'd have to add some RAM, but it's probably the best you can do without building your own. If you're not in a hurry, you can do like I do and buy stuff as it goes on sale. I've almost achieved my goal of building one that's made up of only free after rebate parts. :) You can view the CompUSA add here
