It's free pastry day. I went to the 24 hr one at 4:30 am and asked the guy if they were participating and he said yes but "it says photocopies not accepted". I had to GENTLY explain to him that mine was a print out on a printer not a photocopy. He grudging let me have my blueberry scon (which was delicious and only cost me the price of the coffee). He also could tell that if he didn't give me the f-ing pastry things were going to get UGLY. :yesnod:

Hopefully the people in your Starbucks will be the brighter variety. YMMV

The only thing I will drink there comes in a cold glass bottle (a soda) or hot chocolate. Although I do feel rather smug with my Starbucks cup. I feel like I'm better than everyone else because I bought an overpriced drink. Poor people have to go to the gas station for a 99 cent coffee...

I usually start my day (4:30 am) with a 16oz cup of coffee from the local deli. Cost = $1.75. About 4 hours later I have a large coffee (20 oz - as in Vente) from Starbucks, cost = $2.50. Not that much different price-wise. I like the taste and the fashion statement is very satisfying when walking the streets of NY :teeth: (as is anyone cares ). I do add about about 2" of half and half to the Starbucks though becasue it IS pretty strong.

I especially feel better now, knowing I'm not a maggot since I don't choke. :yesnod:
