MY freaking new Jvc slim dvd/flash media playrs head just stopped reading disks. Anyhow as i got this 2 monts ago as a gift and i have no reciept the crappy JVC service wont help me out at all.
So i was wondering if anyone knows of a decent cheap dvd player , maybe even one of those dvd vcr combo things so i can get rid of my vcr too. Any help will be appreciated.

I'd go with the DVD recorder/player

the cheapest is made by: CyberHome... Its only $99 sold at circuit city
 
naaa , not looking for a dvd recorder , already have a writer , and well alot of bittorrent sites so well. More a vcr / dvd
 
I think if you do what your avatar does in malls while asking the passers-by, someone will eventually give you one :)
 
CompUSA had a Norcent DVD Player for only $19.99 after MIR ($10)... Norcent is probably the best cheap brand for DVD players I have seen. The others, such as Coby, are not reliable AT ALL.
 
That's the one! I think I wasn't clear that the $20 deal comes around OFTEN, not ALL the time. For example, I think the price was effective a couple of weeks ago. Sorry about the confusion! :)
