Now you can bid on the bus that was never given the chance to help evacuate New Oleans...The Little Bus That Couldn't.....(or was never given the chance).....

 38 bids for this peice of junk!!! After thoe picture, Mr Governator's Sentra looks like a hot property! ;)

This HAS to in some way or another violate an eBay policy! The seller even says "judging by the photo"... he/she has simply found a photo and decided to place an auction for a bus!! Notice the 0 feedback rating... scam scam scam... I can not believe it actually has bids!!!

It might not be a scam. Perhaps the institution that owned the buses, got paid off the insurance and now sells the 'damaged product'. Once an insurance company 'pays off' a vehicle, one can re-purchase it back for pennies! So, buy it back and sell it on ebay....it does say that the profits go to the school system. Perhaps they are the sellers?? It is clear that nothing is being misrepresented.....

hmmm  I don't know... just looks suspicious to me...

I see it as someone who is sick, trying to make a profit on such a tragedy.

Have you guys read through the Q&A, some are hillarious... :D

Q: Is it MP3 compatible?

A: This bus was built long before MP3 became a popular option. Sorry.

And One Has a very Good Point!!!

Q: I am somewhat curious as to why these school busses, somewhere around 1,000 of them, were left to be destroyed by Hurricane Katrina rather than used to evacuate the residents of New Orleans to higher ground BEFORE the hurricane struck New Orleans? Sounds to me like total incompetence on the part of New Orleans officials. I was just curious, is all. Thank you in advance for your answer. Cc: Sean Hannity Rush Limbaugh

A: FYI - There were 260 buses flooded from Hurricane Katrina. We will not engage in the judgement of competence and/or incompetence of New Orleans officials.

This is pretty funny! I wonder if this is an April Fool's prank, too!

I told my husband about this and he said that actually, the mayor or someone was really auctioning off school buses after they were already claimed as totaled and paid for by the insurance company. The money brought in is supposed to help rebuild the city. I still don't think THIS particular auction looks legit... but apparently there are real auctions like this too.

That photo looks pretty fake too.

It's not a fake photo. I recall seeing it and reading some 'scandalous' articles about the officials in New Orleans saying that they had 'no means' with which to help transport the people out and yet they let all these school buses (some of them still new) get destroyed by the oceans' waters. IT really disturbed me then (still disturbs me) because they refuse to take responsibility for themselves and feel that it's everyone else's responsibility and fault.....

I've heard on the news that it was real, also. Strange.
