It's debatable if this is worth it.

Japan release was yesterday and people are selling them online for $1000~$1500

I just called eCost. The rep said eCost will NOT be shipping pre-orders at the release date. If you're buying these for resale on eBay...think twice.

bad deal. probably wont ship at launch. probably wont ship in 1st month and over priced. : /

I checked eBay. It's nuts. :worry:

It would definitely be worth ordering this and reselling it but only if it does arrive at your house before x-mas. I just tried calling overstock to if they had any ETA on when it would ship but they were closed.

Just tell me how you called eCost today? They're closed on Saturday.

Gotcha

Lots of auctions on Ebay are fake or people bidding on their own stuff. I remember when the ps2 first came out there were 9000 auctions for ps2 stuff.

Wow... It's up to $999.99.

It was already expensive enough without these douchebags jacking up the price.

damn.

that too is offline.. looks like they sold out on these units at 999 too..

huh.

I wonder why sony did not raise the price of PS3 itself... I guess it would have sold out for 999 too.. and then probably drop the price eventually when more are available.

I wonder how many of those people are actually going to pay for it with their own credit card?

Comp USA is featuring an Ad. where if u buy a 40 plus inch SONY HDTV. then u can reserve your PS3 for 17th NOV...
cheapest qualifiying HDTV is like 1799.
