We're giving you the same discount our own employees get on
notebook and desktop computers. Now is the perfect time to
upgrade to the machines you've been wanting for months.

In-Store Only. Find a CompUSA Store near you!

i dont want the whole system. i just want some parts. any discount for that?

It worked for GM, so they think it will work them?

Employee Discount?

Do a search for "Employee Discount" on their site and see what comes up.

I laughed out Loud ! LOL LOL LOL

hm.....I always notice office depot, staples, good guys, and circuit city deals are never as good as dell, frys, and target, for some odd reason......... it might just be me....

Yeah I work at Compusa and the discount is pretty bad. They say its cost but its a lie. I mean some things are only like 50 to 100 dollars off. and the video game systems are only 5 DOLLARS off.

This trend of marketing is becoming really annoying.

Actually that's correct. The manufacturers don't make any money on their hardware. They sell it at or below cost. The fact that they are giving you a $5 is generous.

how do they survive then?
It's called "loss leaders". A quick Web search shows: "Merchandise sold by a retailer at a loss in order to increase store traffic and sales of other items." Grocery stores live by them, especially with milk. But you notice that to get to the milk, you have to walk through the whole store and be subjected to other aisle advertising.
