I will try to upload some pics from home. I refuse to put up any pictures of myself though, just in case someone is good with photoshop.
Due to some unfortunate circumstances, the Kibbutz didn't work out. Our plans changed and we ended up staying in Jerusalem for the majority of the trip.
Story:
Each evening some members of my group sat in the hotel lobby in Jerusalem talking, playing cards, or checking email. One particular evening we were enjoying a riviting conversation when suddenly a loud bang brought the hotel lobby to a quick silence. At the same time the pop went off, I felt something brush against my left cheek. A girl across from me also felt something hit her. As we looked around frantically trying to find out what had happened, hotel staff told everyone to remain calm. A woman on the other side of the lobby was grasping her leg as people flocked around her.
From what we deduced, we believe a member of the hotel staff was playing with or picking up a gun when it discharged. It most likely shattered a tile, which spread debris across the hotel lobby. One woman must have been hit in the leg by a larger piece of that tile. As far as we know it wasn't serious.
It wasn't long before the police showed up.
So that's the time I was hit by shrapnel from a gunshot in Jerusalem. Not too bad for a computer guy.
