We have several of these at work in a warehouse ennvironment. They seem to hold up well. We've had them installed for about 6 months with no issues. The only drawback is that the paper tray only holds 1/2 a ream.

I have this printer too. It's a good reliable printer. Buy better paper to prevent jamming. Paper tray is small requiring constant filling. output is good. Great value at this price.
 
I've had mine a month and love it. It's quick, quiet, and inexpensive. Its footprint is about 14"x14", which is a a little heavier and a lot bigger than other personal printers like the HP P1006, which I have at work and also like. But the HL2140 has a bit higher resolution, and most significantly, a monthly duty cycle twice that of the HP. Now, I've printed about 10 pages in this month, but I hope the weight and higher duty cycle indicate that the HL will last a long time.

For $50, it's a deal.
