Actually this is the camera I have been waiting for!!! Is the printer and memory card reader necessary? Do you need to buy them to use the coupons? This is my first digital camera. I know I need the 512 card, but what else is do I need.

You don't "need" anything else, everything else comes in the package. Yes, get the 512MB card, or 256 or 1GB, depending on how much you shoot. What you do "need" is to get the printer and card reader to bring the total up so that the $60 off coupon would work and to get the price that Spoofee has listed.

This camera is an excellent beginner-amateur-point-n'-shoot unit. Canons are one of the best (if not the best, arguably) digital cameras out there even for the high-end models, so you can't go wrong. :)

I ordered this on yesterday's deal, but just cancalled through Dell's chat and re-ordered with this deal.

this deal does not work for me. i cant get the first coupon code to go thru and the total is $329.60 minus the 15 dollar rebates which would come out to be $314.60 which is an extra 20 bucks. any suggestions?

Well Foollishchild, I just went through all of Spoofee's steps & tried to test this for you, and i got the same thing as you did. The Canon discount comes out to be - $59.85, not -$79.80 when using the code 3CP428PCG?BRMS (Dell Home Customers: Save 15% off Select Cameras!). That would make sense since 15% off $399 is $59.85.

The -79.80 would be if the coupon were for 20% off, but this coupon code says it's for 15% off. I don't really understand this, but maybe you could call Dell Customer Service & ask them to help you with this. good luck!

Foolishchild : it looks like the Canon 20% coupon reached it's 4000 people limit. :(

i figured it all out. the deal from dell comes out to be $314.60 like u said but the staples coupon doesnt work anymore so i searched and i found the same printer on newegg for 72 dollars plus 5.28 shipping which is 77.28 minus the 70 dollar rebate makes the printer cost 7 dollars and 28cents.

Or, you can get this from your local Costco for $339, no rebates, no hassle (no questions asked no-expiration return policy also ;) )

Hey Spoofee, thanks for the deal! I purchased this item but was given no immediate info on estimated ship date. Is there any way to see this info now? or do I have to wait t'il the process the order further? Thanks.

EDIT: Wow, I can't believe I registered 3 years ago and this is my 2nd post.
