A few notes

This deal also includes free 3-5 day shipping (tax is collected), and the upgrades are pretty reasonable - esp. the 2 -> 8 Gig upgrade for $170 (Crucial sells the same upgrade for $380! BUT, Dell requires a 64-bit OS with system purchase when RAM exceeds 4 Gigs), the discrete graphics option is pretty reasonable at $75, and the CPU can be upgraded to dual core Athlon for $50, or to a faster Athlon X2 Neo CPU for $80. WiFi is either $20 or $40 (depending on if you add 802.11b/g or 802.11b/g/n card). Includes keyboard & mouse.

The dual-core CPUs support Virtualization, which means you can run MS "XP Mode" if you have the right underlying Windows 7 version (You must have Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate to run Windows XP Mode.) - "XP Mode" runs a Windows XP VM and integrates into the Win7 desktop, allowing you to run incompatible apps on a Win7 box.

A fully-loaded system gets pricey (you can hit $600), but with HDMI, dual eSATA ports, and DVD-R/W, even the base system is nice, but I'd strongly urge you to at least upgrade the CPU, if not the RAM as well.

The Promo Gift Card is only good at Dell.com on subsequent purchases.

I think I'm going to load up a system with all the bells and whistles...

Deal doesn't seem to be working for me either. Anyone know if this would be a good machine to use for XBMC? I wanna pump out 1080p via HDMI to play MKV x.264 files.

That's bull! It didn't expire, it was supposed to be for a week!
