In the promotion details for each of the rebates it says:

"Offer not valid with any other rebates, offers or promotions."

Can the rebates still be combined?

This should be fine since Staples actually advertises combining rebates to get the printer for free.

"Free with any digital camera purchase, after combined rebates. A $99.98 value."

1. If you don't want a calculator (or rubber bands or paper clips) consider adding a 50 pack of Staples brand DVD+R for $7.94. They're on sale for $12.94 and enter coupon code 30306 to get $5 off. (Same deal but different code with DVD-R.) Don't know who makes them but worth a try at that price.

See http://www.staples.com/products/SpotLights/050515/590792/Default.asp

2. These Epson printers drink ink, and Epson ink ain't cheap. (IMO that's the reason Epson gives away these C-8x series printers.) Most of the cheap generic ink is dye based -- it isn't waterproof or fade resistant. BUt there is an aftermarket band of pigmented ink (like the Epson Dura-Brite ink) made by PrintRite. Advantage Data is sellling it for $4.75 black and $4.25 for colors with free shipping (any quantity). Compare prices with Dura-Brite and judge for yourself.

Happy printing!

The calculator was all sold out so I added instead a Belkin 6-outlet surge protector which also has a rebate, making the item free afterwards.

tried the rebate and it says its invalid, anyone know how long you have to wait after you do the online ordre to submit the rebates?

the printer is out of stock now.. i ordered it, but when I called in for the pricematch, they told me their system goofed, and the printer is out of stock, so they removed that item from the order.. i told them to cancel the entire order.

amazing deal

I have the C84 printer and find it prints excellently and don't find that it "drinks ink". The cartridges last a long time and there are so many cheap ink sources on the web.

Too bad it OOS !! :(

I just talked to the Customer Service, they said that Epson C86s were out of stock when the order was placed , and that someone is scheduled to call later today to inform about whether they'll have it back in stock or not. :thumbs_do I'm thinking about waiting for the call and looking into buying from elsewhere and mailing-in the rebates if they end up removing it from the order.

This must be the case for everyone since I placed the order before I posted it online unless they have it in stock in some regions since they talked about the possibility of transferring it from another warehouse.

The digital camera is in stock and you'll get it for free after the coupon in either case.

I talked to the Customer Service about buying the entire order from a Staples store, the representative said that some stores have the printer in very few quantities which are selling really fast but none of them carries the digital camera.

This deal would be great if it's still in effect. I should give my local Staples store a call and see if they have the printer and digital camera. :)

Been needing a new printer since I sold my last one. Or maybe sell this one and get a better one? LOL.

Staples Customer Service is really irritating me nowadays, they are making nonsense excuses and sending elementary school level e-mails, I feel like I'm talking to individuals from the street who has no training whatsoever. They are showing how they don't really care about the customers, on their anniversary. I never really liked Office Max people either, my favorite remains as Office Depot. :banghead:

I still got digital camera for FREE!

Listen what happened to me.

I put an order for this deal and got the same story as everyone else when I tried to price match. I told the lady to cancel the order, but she said the order already went through and I'll be getting my digital camera for $40.
She told me to just refuse the package and when the digital camera got back to Staples warehouse, I would get my credit.

Yesterday, I got the camera, but was not home to refuse the package. So, I called 800-3STAPLES and said, "I don't want this camera. How do I return it?"

Lady on the phone says, "I have credited your card for $40 and you can keep the camera." I was like, what?!?.....she said, "yes, keep the camera."

So, I'm keeping the camera. I'm not going to open it until I see the credit on my card. :bigok:

Sweet... it would prob cost more for them to pay for the shipping and the restocking than the camera is worth lol.

The camera was supposed to be free with the coupon code - independent of the printer. The printer being free depended on the camera. Staples not only played a game and cancelled all the printers out of the orders, they also didn't apply the coupons to the orders. So if they correct one of their mistakes, noone should be thankful for it.

This company has proven to be the most unreliable of its kind in the market, and the customer service doesn't follow a policy, each CSR decides personally. Lame.

What i found out about Staples is that if you buy something from them online, file the EasyRebate, and then return it to one of their stores, they have no idea that you returned it... you still receive your rebate. and if you used a coupon, odds are quite high that they will refund the regular price of the item you returned, and you make extra money equal to the amount of coupon.

I think they deserve to lose money, lol.

The $50 and $30 rebates on my order came up as invalid
I called customer service and they said that because the camera was free with coupon, it didn't count in the promotion. AH! Is there anything I can do? Or should I just return the printer?

...Still hoping!

I ended up buying a CX6600 which is sitting right next to me on this deal. I originally paid $185 for the printer, camera, and paper clips with the $15 coupon. When I did a price match to save more, Staples called me back and said that I could have the coupon or the price match, the price match saved me more money. Bottom line on everything with sales tax for me is about $26. All three rebates are valid, one was showing invalid so I called up Staples rebates and they fixed it all up, all are showing validation in process now.

What should I say to the customer service people in order to validate the rebates? I've tried 3 times and they all point out that since the camera was free, the rebates are invalid!
