I would never do business with Mazda dealers ever again! My first car was a 1981 Mazda GLC.... got me through high school and college. Then I had a 1996 Mazda Miata, which got me through my kid-less years. So as you can see, I have enjoyed Mazda products for years.

Recently, Mazda of Cerritoes sent me a lottery-type game piece. I scratched, and it said I won $7000. I called the dealership to confirm, and they said come and collect your money. When I arrived, 10 other people had the same exact game piece, and were all told the same thing: "your game piece entitles you to some discount vacation package, not the $7000 grand prize". We all argued that our game piece had 3 Gold Bars, and that translates to winning the grand prize. We all called and asked the dealership before driving 40 miles to the dealership. The rep explained, we needed 3 Gold Bars with Diamonds, which was not explained to us on the phone. This was a ploy to get us to drive down and test drive the new CX. Hell no! Even though we all wanted to sue, the attorney fees would exceed the $7000 grand prize even if we were to win. Not worth it. So we vowed never to do business with Mazda ever again.

I did have a chance to look at the features of the CX and the pricing. It's way overpriced for the lack of options. For the same price you can get a Toyota Highlander Limited with ALL OPTIONs....and Toyota is 100X more reliable than Mazda is today. I am 100% a Toyota/Lexus man now.... The hell with Mazda!

People actually fall those gamepieces? They are scams, plain and simple, and all dealerships use them. I get them all the time from Suzuki, Hyundai, Toyota and other dealers.

Mazda is owned by Ford, so some of Ford's crappiness has likely rubbed off on them :)
