(Expired) Free Sample Soy Candle - The Braithwaite House Scented Soy Candles

There's also a free sample of soap on there; so I signed up for both. Thanks for letting me know about this Glitterdog.

I had some trouble with the site. It mandates that you put in a payment method even though the total for the samples is $0. I originally put in Paypal but Paypal wanted me to put in a "total." Then I put in "print and call" thinking they would print my order and call me, but I always give a fake phone number so that would not work. I finally put in my credit card number, since my total is $0 they can't (shouldn't) bill me. How did you guys handle the payment method?
I hope it comes. Great find!

when i hit print and call never asked for cc info. just fyi.

Oh, smidge-Great info. Thanks. And thanks glitter for the post. great as usual!

this one is no longer valid

DUE TO OVERWHELMING
RESPONSE -
THE FREE SAMPLE SERVICE HAS BEEN TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED. PLEASE BOOKMARK OUR PAGE AND CHECK BACK.
THANK YOU

got my 2 little cuties today, fresh linen and citrus grove. just a heads up.

I got my samples today with a hostile little note saying that the "freebie" sites didn't have permission to post that they give out samples. Seems like we over loaded their computer and caused it to crash so they are manually getting the samples out as fast as they can. Hey, thanks for the guilt trip and the samples.

yup same here! if that wasn't put in there I probably would have ordered from them. My sister is a massage therapist and uses all sorts of candles when doing massages. I won't even bother mentioning it to her at this point...the 20% coupon they threw in was 86'd!

They still have the sample posted. But now they want to charge $2.00 for S&H. :mmph:

You know, after hearing about the notes they've sent, I'm really irritated at this company. The whole point of samples and freebies are for people to TRY it out and if a person likes the product they just got a sale or more. Word of mouth is also a good form of customer loyalty!!! I ought to know, I own my own company! And it's just plain common sense...

It shouldn't matter if it was found on a "freebie site" or somewhere else! If you advertise "FREE SAMPLE" expect to end up giving away a lot of product out of pocket, but you'd most likely would have made a few orders out of it as well.

Personally, if I like a sample, I'll purchase. These people just lost a potential customer. (Not like they really care)

Now, I think I'll get off my soapbox...

P.S. I think we should write letters to this company. Just my opinion, though.

Wow! A little pissed off are they?

Having the message of "DUE TO OVERWHELMING RESPONSE - THE FREE SAMPLE SERVICE HAS BEEN TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED" was quite enough IMHO, there's no need to send out the sample *with* the nasty note. If their sample supplies are exhausted, they should just stop sending the samples!!! Or they could really take the high road and send out the 20% off coupon, with a polite note saying, "the sample supplies have been exhausted but here's a coupon". Then they might actually get some business!
