(Expired) Konica Minolta 1600W Magicolor Color Laser Printer for $40 Shipped

What life do toner carts give? What cost do they have?

The third to the last paragraph from PC Mag shows the following toner cost:
The printer's claimed running cost is also well within a reasonable range, at 2.9 cents per monochrome page and 16.6 cents per color page—a bit cheaper than the CLP-315's claimed cost for monochrome (3.0 cents) and a bit more expensive than its claimed cost for color (15 cents). More significant is that the cost per page is roughly the same as for most color lasers that cost twice as much or even more.

I didn't see any mention of the toner cartridges included. Tried to call and find out but they are closed today. If they dont included any, this is not a deal. Cartridges are very expensive ($80 -$110) for each color.

If I knew if included the cartridges, I'd buy one..

Found this note on Techbargins reference to the printer..
"Update: Please note, this printer may not include ANY toner cartridges, as it is not listed in their included items. (Thanks Leo!)"

The toner cartridges are included, albeit starter cartridges:

Consumables In-Box Toner --> Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black (yield up to 500 pages @ 5% coverage)

I did see that in the Specifications but I'm still wondering why they didn't specify cartridges in the "Item includes" box.

"Item Includes
Konica-Minolta 1600W Magicolor Color Laser Printer - Power Cable - Installation Disc - User's Manual - Konica-Minolta 1 Year On-Site Warranty"

I did read on some other sites and it does seem like they include the starter cartridges.
We'll see. I'm in for one. Now I'm also hoping it wasn't a price mistake and I get the order cancellation Monday.

toner issues

Silly question, but couldn't we just buy 2 (or more) printers - for ~$10+s/h each? That would, in theory, be cheaper than an individual cartridge, right?

Shipping is pretty steep. $30 give or take.

If I actually get one, I plan to refill.

Sorry but the page you have requested could not be served.

Probably some employee did it as a joke knowing they aren't open the next few days.

Yep, I got the "so sorry, it was a mistake" email also...

Oh well... worth a shot!
