Nice price! Throw in 2GB of RAM, a DVDRW, a 100GB 7200 rpm, 7 cel battery, and up to the T5600 and it's still only $889. That's a nice tool for $900.
 
i just bought one it has tax , $52.42. and a $6 recycling fee.
 
Not a bad price at all, but not as good of a deal as it sounds. This uses the older T5500 chip which has the old 945 chipset with slower front side bus.

Manufacturers are switching over to the newer chips and starting to dump their old stock. If you watch your local adds, there are a number of similar setups each week for about the same price ($550-700) and many more will show up over the next few months.

I played with both HP, Lenovo and Dell to compare. I ended up buying the Lenovo with the following specs:

Lenovo is unsurpassed in build quality of laptops and nothing on the HP or Dell side could hold a candle to the delivered price of of $1201.15. I had been considering the possibility of replacing my tired old desktop at home with a shiny new laptop and this was just the chance!

i just got off the phone with the lenovo sales rep. after waiting for 1 month for my order, they just called me saying that they are back ordered for 3 months! and they had to cancel the order and reorder. this is the worst customer service that i have ever experienced. I will no longer purchase anything from lenovo.
