If you're near a Safeway, you better jump on this freebie! Safeway offers Softsoap Liquid Handsoaps in various scents 10 for $10 until 8/30. There's also a Colgate promo that's going on, too, that'll take $5 bucks off for every 5 Colgate related products you buy. You can do the math... All you have to pay is tax on the products.

I JUST went and did this at the Safeway down the street! I paid ONLY $1.65 for 20 bottles of Softsoap! The checkout guy was just amazed when my total kept shrinking until it zero'd out to only tax.

You MUST use the Safeway Club Card to get the discount. Usually the people checking out are cool and they'll use a store card but you might have to sign up for one if you don't have one.

But about the Colgate Promo...Is it automatic with the ClubCard or is it an additional Coupon thingy

Colgate promo shoud happen automatically when the cashier hits the key for your final total. That's when all the amazing math happens! :)
 
Safeway has a $10 / 10 sale on the SoftSoaps. They also have a $5 instant savings when you purchase 5 Colgate products. Softsoap qualifies as a Colgate product. Thanks to angelaira for this deal!

1. Find your local Safeway.

2. Purchase SoftSoap in increments of 5 - picture
The following seems to work
- Lavender
- Milk and Honey
- Antibacterial (plain)
- Watermelon

3. Use your Safeway Club card at cash register (free to sign up)

4. Soon as the cash register hits subtotal, you will get $5 off for each 5. - picture
Final Price : Free + Tax

i tried this at Menlo Park Safeway and it ended up i got 10 for $7.xx i duno....
 
I had the same issue.. makes sure it's only these "flavors." The pink "antibacterial" one did not work for me.

- Lavender (purple)
- Milk and Honey (creamy)
- Antibacterial (clear)
- Watermelon (green)

worked for me, except they did only have 6 of the watermelon kinds left. So I took 5, I looked around the top shelf to see if there was more boxes or anything. Luckily there are more safeways around, will have to be making the tour around. Either way it totally worked, as soon as he hit the final total it lowered 5 dollars. Thanks for the great find.

This has been on FW since wednesday-ish, but I wanted to give some other people a chance.
Oh, and I didn't do the douchebag thing and clear them out, I left a bunch at each store.
They were re-stocking them in 2 of the stores I was at so if a store was oos before, that might not mean that you are SOL.
As for Portland Oregon stores - as of around 9 tonight - probably doesn't mean anything though.
Downtown (park blocks) - Out (apparantly will be restocked tonight)
Tannesbourne - Out
Beaverton - Murray and Allen - Out
Beaverton - Murray (new one, further down) - had a bunch.
King City - had a crapload (filled a cart here and there was still tons on the shelf)
Tigard, Hwy 99 - casier was mental and kept screwing up the order. Had about 20 left, plus whatever I left at the register because I didn't feel like holding up the line so she could figure what was going on with it...
Hwy 99, by terwillerger curves - had a bunch, but you'll probably get killed for it by methheads in the parking lot. Great area.

Be sure to not pick out any of the "rainforest" antibacterial soap, that will ring up full price. They have a ladybug or cougar or something in them.

Stuff that works
-Watermelon - green
-Lavender and chamomile - purple
-Antibacterial - fish tank style - clear -
-Milk and honey - white, yelowish cap
-2 in 1 w/moisturizing lotion - pink
-Antibacterial - old style see thru orange

I also got 2 butter cream or something. I don't think the pricing is consistent across all stores on this product.
