I put a $69.99 item (dance dance revolution) in my card and got the above message at checkout.
 
I added a total of $81.15 to my cart, and at almost every stage of the order completion process, when I enter in the paypal25 code, I get this error message:

We are having trouble recognizing the code you have entered. Reasons for failure may include:
-You have not entered each character correctly (codes are caSe SeNsitiVe).
-There is no remaining balance.
-The special discount does not apply to items in your order.

Please try to enter your code again.
 
I received the same error message for Fallout 3 Collector's Edition on PS3.
 
You may not be able to use it for video games or video game accessories. I tried to use it with the PS3 headset and another thing and got the same error.
 
I worked for me. $37.09 for Valkyria Chronicles for the PS3.

Before I entered the paypal25 code, I first selected paypal as my payment choice, hit continue (or next which ever it says), then on the next screen I entered the code.
 
Keep trying....It took me about 8 times with these errors then it finally went through. I was able to get the Mario Kart For Nintendo Wii 2 Player Bundle including 2nd Nerf Racing Wheel (Green) $64 ---> $46 after taxes and shipping cost.:teeth:

I got a Hotwheels racing wii game and a Star Wars wii game for son and 2 rooms of furniture for dollhouse for my daughter- all for $ 30 shipped. Can't beat that! Thanks so much for posting the offer!
 
I went to Paypal first, logged in there and used their direct link to Toys-R-Us. It worked for me! Got a $70 lego set for $54 shipped! Thanks Spoofee!LOL
 
Just look for items that says special deal with Paypal (or something like that). When you then say at checkout that you want to pay with Paypal, the discount shows up.

Free shipping went away though, so it ended up being like $17 off for me, but still decent.
 
I couldn't get the free shipping w/mine :( I finally got it to work after what seemed like a million tries! I also got the paypal down message... but tried again & it went through. I got $51 worth of stuff for $34. My total was $49.97 so I donated $1 to toys for tots to raise it over $50. I really wanted free shipping w/this... I wonder why it wouldn't take both :( oh well... still a pretty good deal.

Yeah, going through Paypal first and then clicking on the Toys 'R Us link did it.

Earlier today the paypal home page stated "limited time" & something like "this offer can be cancelled at any time". I do not see it on paypal's home page anymore. Maybe they discontinued it?
 
I recieved an e-mail that they are cancelling the order:mad:

"This is to inform you that we are unable to complete your order, and that
the order has been canceled. If there is a problem we can help rectify, we invite you to contact our Customer Service Department at (800) 869-7787 for assistance."

Has anyone contact the Customer Service Department and get anywhere?

Would not go through for me either...:verysad:...thought I had a great deal, especially with the easels and you get the $20 easel kit to go with it, oh well, nevermind
