Facebook tie-in?

I've noticed that on the sign-in, there is a Facebook button.
Lately, the monitoring software I use is showing that I connect to the Facebook website every time I log into, or reload my spoofee page.

What's going on here?

This is so that people with Facebook accounts who aren't Spoofee members can log in through that to become a member instead. It's been on for a few months now.
