A recent study of ER admissions found that over 1500 children age two and under suffered serious health problems after being treated with common cold and cough medications. The FDA is now in the process of checking out Toddler's Dimetapp and Infant Triamini, among other products. Most kids medications are slipping through the FDA testing programs! As such folks, try and find a medication to ask your Pedi about that is tested, and, approved to give to the kids. A little research may just keep you and your baby out of the ER! Good luck, and, good health to all of the Spoofee children!

I wonder if it's no the medicine, but the dosing. People don't read the instructions!

i think alot of people give their kids medications too often anyway. my little nephew has more medicine in his diaper bag than ive bought in the past 10 years. every time the kid coughs or cries shes doping him up w/something. i wish she had enough sense to know she was probably doing him more harm than good

I knock on wood, but I seldom give my kids meds. I try to let them fight it off as long as possible unless it's a high fever. We've been very lucky.

I wonder about that myself. So many kids medications specifically say for ages 2 and under consult a doctor.

not just that but people overdose because they don't realize that some cough medicines will also have a fever reducer already in there.
