Careful... there is an automatic renewal clause in this offer...

In addition, your subscription includes an automatic renewal at the end of the 12 month free period for another 12 months at 50% off (a $34.98 value). To cancel this automatic renewal, you can contact McAfee Customer Support at 1.866.622.3911 prior to the expiration of the free offer.

Thanks for the post.

But joining BoA just to get this is so NOT WORTH it. They have terrible customer service (if any, at all), bad systems, and has a bad reputation.

I'm not urging people to join BoA. Just pointing it out if they have an account. I have a mortgage with them and noticed it. But, thank you for the concern.

You can get McAfee if you have Cox as a Cable/Phone/Internet service provider as well, without an end of term subscription enrollment.

I prefer ESET/NOD32 anyway... it's the best.

Thanks for the post.

Hmmmm... interesting... formed from experience or cable news shows....

How is it that I was the original poster, and "glitterdog" bumped me? Sounds like it will ruin my reputation. I forgot why I never posted deals on here. nice...

Basically a thread merger gone wrong. It's still okay to post - everyone still wins. Sort of.

I live near their corporate hq's in Charlotte. Had a checking account with them several years ago. It wasn't good. They have now taken over my mortgage (was with Countrywide) - hate it. Countrywide was much better.

That they are offeringg McAfee for free to their customers should prove that they don't like their customers. I wouldn't use McAfee for free at all.
