The reader used for digital format mags would crash constantly on me.

I used this for two months and noticed that it was "spy ware." The only way to preserve your privacy is to get the printed version. I told my story to PCMag and they sent me all the back issues FED EX! and switched me back to print.

i.e. if you want print, you have to tell PCMag to switch you over.
 
What's wrong with Zinio Reader? I've been using it occasionally over the past six months, and it seems to be a great program. There is no spyware that I can see. It works great, it's good for the purpose and it's a general good idea for an avid computer user.

What's the problem with it?

Actually there is nothing really "wrong" with the reader. I just don't like my reading habits tracked and Zinio would not fully disclose what information they were obtaining (and most likely selling) from my use of their program.

My definition of spy ware is any software that sends information FROM your PC without disclosing to you what that information is.

(Please don't get technical and say your browser transmits an IP and ID string, thats disclosed through documented protocols.)
